These are the prairie flowers that were introduced to me back in 1994 by Dan Wallace, the volunteer manager of the Brooklyn segment of the Ice Age Trail. They bloom only on our dry prairie remnants. Thanks to Dan and other volunteers this place is still a refuge for these rare blooms every spring, and open to enjoyment by all.
