WIS Herbarium: come in for a visit!

Look at this kid! Looks like he’s hard at work, studying plants.

Thinking about what to do on a bleak midwinter’s day?  Hop on a bus, Gus, and come down to the Wisconsin State Herbarium, where 1000s of species of plants from around the world are preserved for posterity, for study, browsing, or just dreaming about next spring.  There’s a great library of botanical literature, full color plant guides, even biographies of plant explorers.  And there’s usually a lively bunch of botanists hanging around.  So, come on down and don’t forget to sign the visitors log!175.JPG
